Overview
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Queensland Section is committed to providing excellence in and access to Primary Health Care (PHC) and Aeromedical services across Queensland. As a key member of our PHC team, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services to people in remote, rural, and regional areas of Queensland.

Salary
This permanent, full-time position offers an attractive base salary remunerating you for your skills and qualifications + Super, with an estimated annual salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 AUD, depending on experience.

Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for leading essential primary healthcare services to communities in the Far North and Northwest regions. This includes delivering clinical services as part of our group practice on a rotational basis from our Mt Isa base. You will work closely with a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to our mission and take pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities
- Coach, lead and support PHC nurses in your team
- Lead workforce planning and recruitment of PHC nurses
- Work closely with the State Manager and collaboratively with interdisciplinary base leads
- Ensure that clinical equipment, maintenance, and consumables are adequate to support PHC activities at a base level
- Manage local PHC nursing resources and rosters within the approved budget
- Participate in operational shifts for 50% of your roster

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife
- Extensive experience in Rural and Remote Nursing and the provision of health services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Immunisation endorsement (desirable)
- Rural and Isolated Practice (Scheduled Medicines) endorsement (RIPRN) (desirable)
