Job Description

The role of Secondary Designer entails working closely with the Transmissions team to develop and finalize detailed designs for HV and EHV terminal stations, substations, and electrical infrastructure.

  • Develop high-quality design documents, including panel layouts, schematic designs, switchroom/terminal station layouts, cable/wiring schedules, and related documentation.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments of brownfield and greenfield sites.
  • Effectively manage project deliverables within established timeframes and budget constraints while maintaining exceptional technical standards.
  • Participate in peer review processes as required to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Lead the detail design process from concept to final implementation, adhering to agreed scope, quality, timeframes, and budgets.
  • Identify and manage scope variations according to project requirements.
