Senior Gaming Compliance Expert Position

This leadership role involves overseeing Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CTF) operations within the gaming industry. As the Designated AML Compliance Officer at a Casino Resort, you will be responsible for leading the compliance function and collaborating with senior leaders and regulators.

Some travel to Darwin may be required on a monthly basis.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the AML/CTF program, maintaining internal controls and procedures, acting as a key decision-maker in financial crime matters, and managing a team of compliance professionals.

Key Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management preferably in gaming, financial services, or highly regulated sectors
  • Tertiary qualifications in Compliance, Risk Management, or related fields
  • In-depth knowledge of the AML/CTF Act and other relevant legislation such as the Gaming Control Act, Liquor Act, etc.
  • Experience managing a team and working with boards, regulators, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Certifications in AML, Risk, or Compliance are highly regarded

  • Lead incident management and provide regular reporting to the Board and Gaming Compliance Committee
  • Deliver mandatory training across the business and foster strong relationships with regulators, frontline staff, and internal stakeholders
