Job Overview

As a senior leader, you will play a crucial role in driving the development of strategic commercial and contractual strategies that align with our project objectives while ensuring compliance with governing procedures and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies that support the project's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide expert advice on the development and establishment of project alliances.
  • Provide commercial and contractual oversight and governance of the project alliance to ensure delivery of value for money.
  • Review and negotiate variations to agreements and contracts related to the project.
  • Support the project director in providing advice and recommendations to the alliance leadership team on project performance, risk management, and project adjustments.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in commercial roles within the construction industry, particularly in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Sound knowledge of national contracting guidelines and standards.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in developing and managing Australian standard and bespoke contracts.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage commercial activities in large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify early signs of project distress.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills to build relationships with key stakeholders.
