Riverton Services Assistant Job Overview
We are seeking a casual Services Assistant to support our team at Riverton District Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
About the Role
As a Services Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a clean, welcoming, and efficient environment for our patients and staff. Your day-to-day tasks will include preparing and serving meals, assisting with laundry duties, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely and effective catering and cleaning services within our health unit.
- Prepare and serve a variety of meals, including breakfasts, soups, and fast-serve options.
- Manage laundry services: wash, sort, dry, fold, and store uniforms and linens.
- Assist with general housekeeping, including window high cleaning and routine carpet shampooing.
- Undertake minor sewing repairs and assist with equipment sterilisation processes.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding food quality and client needs.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to relate to diverse individuals.
- Flexible approach to work and roster arrangements.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
