APS6 Cyber Security Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned APS6 Cyber Security Compliance Specialist to join our team on a contract basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the GRC space and knowledge of relevant government security frameworks, enterprise information, cyber security processes, concepts, and best practices with exposure to government cloud models.

Key responsibilities include ensuring ongoing compliance with ICT policies and procedures by conducting Cyber Compliance risk assessments, communicating cyber-security risks to senior management, and building and maintaining the controls matrix.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be passionate about advancing our organisation for the benefit of its clients, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and meet the essential criteria outlined below.

  • At least two years of experience in Cyber Security Governance, Risk, and compliance
  • Knowledge of and experience with relevant government security frameworks, enterprise information, cyber security processes, concepts, and best practices with exposure to government cloud models
  • Australian citizen with or able to obtain an AGSVA issued NV1 or above security clearance

Desirable criteria include ICT risk and compliance experience, CISSP/CISM or equivalent certifications, and demonstrated experience in effective reporting to executive management and adaptive leadership and collaboration.

Hybrid working arrangements are available, subject to negotiations with line manager, with a minimum of three days each week in the office and flexible arrangements for the remaining two days.
