Job Description

The Department of Home Affairs is seeking a Cyber Security Policy Specialist to join its team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies and processes within an organisation.

This role will be responsible for overseeing and managing a large and complex program of work to remediate cyber security issues across the Department, towards the ACSC maturity model. The Specialist will work closely with stakeholders to design business and technology processes that strengthen the Department's cybersecurity posture.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of cybersecurity processes and policy, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. They will also be able to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and work independently within the context of the broader Systems Hardening Program.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have:

  • Extensive experience working on cybersecurity policies and processes within an organisation
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity processes and policy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
