About the Role

The Employment Coach is a key position within Workskil Australia Ltd, responsible for the case management of an allocated caseload of up to 80 customers with a prior offender history. The primary objective is to find them employment, with a focus on improving their capacity to work by stabilizing non-vocational issues and building vocational skills and experience.

The role involves undertaking 'reverse marketing' of customers to suitable employers and running group-based job search sessions to motivate and promote further job placements. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for recruitment and working with those in need, as well as the ability to meet individual targets and contribute to a strong site team.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Armadale, with a 9-day fortnight and a dedicated and fixed day off every second week. The remuneration package includes a competitive salary and the ability to salary sacrifice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • A passion and drive for helping people find employment;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of customers, employers, and staff;
  • The ability to assess, match, and refer customers to appropriate job opportunities and to advocate directly to employers;
  • The ability to achieve individual targets and work to clearly defined KPIs;
  • A minimum typing speed of 30 WPM;
  • Strong administration skills and IT literacy, including data entry and typing skills, Word, Excel, and Outlook experience;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Previous experience in the employment services or call centre industry or similar.

You will also be required to have a minimum Certificate IV in Employment Services or Career Development or a willingness to study, as well as experience in Employment Services or a related Service industry.

Remuneration

A competitive salary will be negotiated commensurate with skills and experience. As Workskil Australia Ltd is a public benevolent institution, we can also offer a portion of the salary through tax-effective salary packaging.
