**Job Opportunity:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our workshop team as a Leading Hand.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Lead a team of Workshop technicians to meet, deliver and exceed service expectations.
  • Drive a safety-first culture within the department.
  • Liaise with technical support staff and coordinate diagnostics, maintenance and repairs work.
  • Manage work schedules and daily workshop activities to ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resources.
  • Liaise with stakeholders pertaining to machine performance, product, workmanship, and warranty.

**Qualifications:

  • Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) heavy diesel or mobile plant trade qualifications.
  • Earthmoving equipment experience is required.
  • Leadership experience in a comparable industry is desirable.
  • A safety-first mindset - ensure the HCA Safety Culture is embraced, displayed, and driven from within.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long-term relationships.
  • The ability to navigate complex technical issues to deliver high-quality outcomes in repair and maintenance services with minimal to zero rework.
