Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

About the Role
This position is responsible for providing first-level helpdesk and second-level desktop support services throughout various facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining efficient and reliable information technology services to support safe patient care and corporate services provision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and effective desktop support services
  • Respond to enquiries relating to new account establishments and operations
  • Assist users with systems lockout and password resets
  • Log and manage all helpdesk jobs in accordance with local procedures
  • Receive new IT equipment into the department and establish it in the IT Asset database

Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and industry experience
  • Experience in a desktop support/helpdesk role
  • Extensive experience with hardware and software support
  • Broad experience with Windows-based applications
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to deal with users in a pleasant, patient and professional manner
  • Demonstrated communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
