Assistant Principal Opportunity

The role of Assistant Principal at our school offers a unique chance to contribute to the educational journey of students from Kindergarten to Year 6. Our school has a strong sporting history and provides a broad range of extra-curricular activities. We promote a culture of high expectations and achievement for all students through effective, explicit, evidence-based teaching, focused on assessment, leading to curriculum differentiation and personalised learning.

In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to strategically lead collaborative change management processes to maintain a culture of continuous improvement. You will also be responsible for building the capacity of a team that embeds evidence-based, data-informed practices, and inclusive education that enables student improvement and achievement. Your ability to successfully lead and build the capacity of a team is crucial in achieving this goal.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess successful teaching experience with the capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice. You will also need to have knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare, as well as educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams. Additionally, you will require well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
