Fostering Open Source Communities

The Community team enables community leaders and participants to get things done, coordinating with internal teams and ensuring that community processes are efficient and well-run.
You will play a key role in designing, executing, and scaling initiatives that foster a thriving community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-quality content to promote and support community initiatives
- Discuss ideas and collaborate on finding good solutions to community problems
- Work from home with global travel 2-4 weeks for internal and external events
- Nurture community contributions to Ubuntu
- Engage with the community through various channels and represent the organization at events
We're looking for someone who loves technology and working with brilliant people. You should be curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable, with a passion for soft skills and self-motivation. Experience with developer tools and open source projects is essential, as is a clear public record of accomplishments. If you have interest and experience with Ubuntu Linux, DevOps, software development, testing and QA, package management, or container technology, we'd love to hear from you.
