Early Childhood Education Centre Leadership

The role of a centre manager in early childhood education is critical, overseeing the day-to-day operations of educational centres. In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators to deliver high-quality learning experiences that cater to children aged six weeks to six years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the operational and financial performance of the centre.
  • Driving occupancy, managing budgets, rosters, fee collection, and centre administration.
  • Fostering strong and collaborative relationships with children, families, team members, and the local community.
  • Maintaining and regularly reviewing the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  • Ensuring compliance with all National Quality Framework (NQF) requirements.

For this role, we are seeking an individual with a Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education, proven leadership experience in a similar Centre Director or managerial role, and strong knowledge of the relevant legislative requirements. You will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a genuine passion for early childhood education, and demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with families and the wider community.

Requirements:
  • Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education.
  • Proven leadership experience in a similar Centre Director or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of the VEYLDF, National Regulations, and National Quality Standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Genuine passion for early childhood education.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with families and the wider community.
