Job Role Overview

The role of Maintenance Assistant is a vital part of ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our school's facilities. This position involves performing day-to-day maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, heating, glazing, lockers, buildings, furniture, general repairs, and emergency work in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.

As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining grounds equipment and work areas in a safe, orderly, and secure manner. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with other staff members to support students and assist with grounds projects.

This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, and strong communication skills. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for maintenance and customer service, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of all school facilities, including plumbing, electrical, heating, glazing, lockers, buildings, furniture, and general repairs.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal functioning of facilities.
  • Responding to emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to support students and assist with grounds projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.
