Job Description:

Regulatory Leadership Role:

  • Oversee and implement regulatory change initiatives across the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, government policies, and legislation affecting the energy sector.
  • Provide early intelligence and insights on proposed changes to inform internal planning.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of regulatory impacts, including risks, opportunities, and required process or system changes.
  • Translate regulatory obligations into actionable operational guidance tailored for different business units.
  • Represent the company at external regulatory forums and working groups.
  • Partner with IT teams to embed compliance into system design and delivery.
  • Lead or support change implementation, including communication, training, and ongoing monitoring of adoption.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in regulatory change, compliance, legal, or risk within the energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of Australian energy regulations and regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with ability to assess regulatory impact and prioritize compliance actions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior executives.
