About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure that our cloud environment meets high standards for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Scalable Systems: Optimize existing systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Architect Cloud-Based Infrastructure: Design scalable, high-performance software solutions in alignment with project requirements and company standards.
  • Ensure System Security: Ensure systems are secure and safe from vulnerabilities, and maintaining security with system enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicating technical concepts and project updates.
  • Mentor Junior Engineers: Provide technical leadership, guiding and mentoring junior engineers in the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience.
  • 6-8+ Years of Experience: 6-8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, focusing on scalable system design and development.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks (Terraform, NodeJS/Typescript etc).
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle complex technical challenges at scale.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
  • Networking Concepts: Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPC etc).
  • AWS Experience: Experience with AWS native services (EC2, Lambda, Codebuild, Eventbridge).
  • Domain Experience: Domain experience with technology stacks including AWS EKS (Kubernetes), Terraform / Terragrunt, and Datadog / Cloudflare.
  • Security Best Practices: Understanding of security best practices and implementation.
