Old Age Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a specialist in Old Age Psychiatry with extensive skills in facilitating effective mental health care across the continuum of Psychiatry of Old Age inpatient and community settings.
The Position- Provide psychiatric services to patients in Rockhampton Hospital's Older persons Inpatient Unit, Acute Care Team, and Community Services Team.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists including those with subspecialty interests in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Forensics, and General Adult Psychiatry.
- Work in a regional city that offers an ideal lifestyle and access to outdoor activities and cultural events.
- Be registered as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent qualification.
- Have completed training in Psychiatry of Old Age in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, or New Zealand.
- Develop strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Pursue a career in Psychiatry of Old Age and contribute to the development of high-quality mental health services for older adults.
- Enjoy a relaxed pace of life and a range of outdoor recreational activities in a regional city.
