Allied Health Assistant - Hunter Valley

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Allied Health Assistant to join our team in the Hunter Valley region. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services to clients in Residential Aged Care settings.

About the Role

This is a casual role, 2 days a week (16 hours), where you will work under the direction of Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare operating procedures and policies.
  • Service RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment plan.
  • Transport residents to and from therapy sessions, set up and pack away the physiotherapy gym, and clean equipment.
  • Collect referrals, perform administrative tasks, and order prescribed equipment.
  • Run exercise groups/programs and support initiatives to meet client/contract expectations.
  • Consult with Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists on adaptations/changes/progressions of treatment plans.
  • Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.
