Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Strategy and Planning

  • IT Operations and Management
    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and management of IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, and services.
    • Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of our technology solutions.
    • Manage IT budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of technology investments.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Provide strategic leadership and guidance to IT teams, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand technology needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and partners to ensure effective technology solutions.
  • Change Management and Innovation
    • Lead the development and implementation of change management initiatives to drive technology adoption and innovation.
    • Encourage a culture of innovation and experimentation within IT teams.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and develop strategies to leverage those technologies to drive business growth.
    Requirements
    • Education and Qualifications
      • MBA or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, or equivalent experience.
      • Master's degree preferred.
    • Prior Knowledge and Skills
      • Experience in tech leadership, delivering complex projects, preferably as a CTO.
      • An in-depth knowledge of technology best practice and experience of implementing processes, procedures, and standards in a technology role.
      • Proven track record architecting and operating enterprise-scale local and wide-area network technologies, network virtualization, and software-defined network design patterns.
      • Proven experience of change management and delivering major change initiatives in a Technology Organization.
      • Excellent management and leadership skills, with a proven track record of delivering excellent levels of IT services to large operational functions (> 1000 operational users).
      • Awareness of the latest available Digital technology to support the operational functions.
      • Experience of hosting and delivering a managed services solution is desirable.
      • Knowledge of Cloud and distributed software architecture principles, and expertise on security and technical risk management.
      • Exceptional understanding on the technical operational requirements for a publicly listed digital product organization.
      • Experience working in matrix-based organization, in conjunction with experience setting up and running hosted applications.
      • Knowledge of SS&C technologies including Bluedoor, HiTrust, and Trust Architect is highly desirable.
      • Experience on modernizing technology platforms via microservices.
    • Skills and Competencies
      • An effective communicator, with strong oral and written skills.
      • Strong commitment to developing team members.
      • Skill with organizational leadership (managing managers, designing an org chart) and growing talent at senior and leadership levels.
      • Effective problem solver with a customer-centric mindset and a strategic thinker to align Engineering efforts to commercial company objectives.
      • Commercial understanding of budgets and business-planning.
      • Previous software development skills including microservices is desirable.
