Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice to senior leadership on identifying, assessing, and preparing for disruption risks.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive risk management systems and business continuity frameworks.
  • Deliver strategic and operational guidance on risk management and business continuity planning to enable effective responses to emerging priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create, integrate, and regularly test business continuity plans.
  • Conduct or facilitate detailed risk assessments and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure cross-organisational plans are managed holistically, considering interdependencies between teams.
  • Support the development of initiatives, programmes, and policies that strengthen organisational resilience.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Foster strong working relationships across departments to promote a culture of shared responsibility for risk mitigation and preparedness.
Requirements:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification or possess extensive relevant experience in risk management or related fields.
  • Demonstrate deep expertise in applying risk standards, such as ISO31000:2018, along with advanced assessment techniques.
  • Showcase thorough understanding of the Australian regulatory landscape and corporate governance principles.
  • Bring substantial experience in developing and implementing business continuity plans.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Display strong analytical abilities, conducting comprehensive risk assessments and providing clear feedback.
  • Possess outstanding written communication skills, necessary for preparing reports and articulating recommendations.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity towards building inclusive environments, respecting diverse perspectives within multidisciplinary teams.
