Structural Engineering Leadership Opportunity

A highly respected consultancy seeks an accomplished Structural Engineer or Senior Building Inspector to spearhead a team of building inspectors, providing technical leadership, compliance oversight, and a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Lead and develop a team of 15+ inspectors (Registered Builders) with expertise in engineering principles, real-world inspection scenarios, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Conduct or support complex inspections as needed, leveraging knowledge of NCC, WA Guide to Standards & Tolerances, and AS 4349.
  • Deliver internal training and onboarding programs for inspectors, focusing on QA systems, SOPs, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide internal guidance on technical queries, disputes, and high-stakes reports, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team on continuous improvement and service quality initiatives.

About You

  • Degree or Diploma qualified Structural Engineer preferred (Minimum Registered Builder or Building Surveyor).
  • Excellent communication skills, a pragmatic problem-solving approach, and confidence navigating issues are essential.
  • Able to guide others, review reports, and make clear technical calls.
