Are you a credit management expert looking for a new challenge? This role offers the opportunity to utilize your skills and experience in managing trade debtors ledgers, delivering timely credit control reporting, and evaluating commercial credit risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with sales teams and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the AU Trade Debtors Ledger with accuracy and timeliness
  • Deliver monthly credit control reporting requirements on schedule
  • Conduct commercial credit reports for new customers and recommend credit limits based on their credit risk evaluation
  • Allocate EFT payments and cheque deposits efficiently
  • Ensure claims deducted by customers from remittances are properly supported and authorized, following up regularly with sales staff
  • Minimize overdues through regular collection follow-ups and liaison with Sales/Account Managers
  • Refer and coordinate with collection agency accounts that Sales failed to collect or those declared bankruptcies
  • Liaise with Customer Service for timely processing of customer credit claims deducted from remittance
  • Generate customer statements and major account reconciliations
  • Regularly review overdue debtors to ensure strong DSO/Aged debt performance and minimal bad and doubtful debt
  • Review accounts on credit hold and release new orders
  • Manage the Customer Master in the ERP system
  • Prepare Month End Reporting on Debtors Ledge
Requirements for Success:
  • Knowledge and work experience in Credit Management
  • Understanding of legal options for collecting overdue accounts
  • Awareness of commercial laws
  • Patience and persistence in following up overdue accounts
  • Experience working with PPSR
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with high attention to detail
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Finance Qualification
  • Experience in JDE or SAP
