About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cook to join our team at Guzman y Gomez. As a Senior Cook, you will play a key role in the success of our kitchen, leading a team of cooks and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aiding in the training and growth of the kitchen team
  • Providing support to the Restaurant Manager in overseeing key metrics such as COGS, labor, and operating expenses
  • Ensuring that all kitchen procedures and protocols are followed

Requirements

  • Experience in a kitchen / cooking role within a busy hospitality environment
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Ability to understand, interpret and explain key kitchen financial performance indicators
  • Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent experience
  • Sound understanding of food safety concerns
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
