Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Cairns Aged Care Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality services and making a real difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the facility, including scheduling and managing maintenance staff;
  • Ensure that all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and meet safety standards;
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to prevent breakdowns and minimize disruptions;
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery;
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure timely availability;
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a healthcare or aged care setting;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety procedures and protocols;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, trade certification an asset.
