Job Opportunity:
Are you an experienced educator looking to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment? We are seeking a dedicated Teacher - Year Coordinator - Student Services professional to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead wellbeing initiatives and reward programs to promote student success and engagement.
- Support students navigating social, emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges through restorative practices and conflict resolution strategies.
- Coordinate key school events and contribute to the smooth daily operation of Student Services, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
- Guide students through important transitions, fostering a sense of community and promoting positive relationships among staff, families, and students.
- Engage every student in learning opportunities, helping them achieve their personal best and develop life skills essential for future success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong leadership, communication, and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with students, staff, and families, leveraging strengths and addressing needs.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and its application in educational settings.
- Resilience, empathy, and ability to manage competing priorities calmly and effectively.
- Collaborative approach to problem-solving and creativity to design innovative solutions for safe, supportive, and positive school communities.
Eligibility:
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting; and Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number from the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
