Expert Child Consultant Opportunity

This is a unique and challenging role working within the Federal Courts System, focusing on supporting children and families in high-risk cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct child-centered assessments, including interviews and observations with children to ensure their wellbeing.
  • Assist parties in resolving disputes through collaborative conferences and provide evidence to the Courts as an expert witness.
  • Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to support case management and external support services for children and families.
  • Collaborate with Judicial Registrars to resolve complex cases and provide advice to parties and the Courts.

Requirements:

  • A relevant social work degree (Bachelor or Masters).
  • Registration with AASW or AHPRA.
  • State WWCC and willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
