Sample Preparation Specialist Job Description

This role involves working in a laboratory environment, where the successful candidate will be responsible for sample preparation and analysis of designated samples during their shift. This is a FIFO position with a 2&1 roster.

The Sample Preparation Specialist will be accountable for delivering quality samples to both internal and external customers by ensuring that all analytical and sample preparation equipment are maintained and functioning properly.

  • Understanding assay methods and recognition of sample types
  • Day to day upkeep of analytical and sample preparation equipment

Additionally, this role requires experience in fusion XRF (desirable), as well as laboratory based qualification or similar, in a related field preferred.

Requirements
  • Experience in a similar laboratory environment
  • Current drivers licence
  • Experience in sample preparation
