About the Project

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) project involves delivering the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor. This project will contribute to a lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

We have the opportunity to work with the Australian and South Australian governments to deliver this city-shaping project, providing safe and efficient journeys for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists, connecting open spaces and recreational facilities, and unlocking economic opportunities and growth for South Australia.

The project scope is concentrated on a 10.5km motorway, including over 4kms of twin three-lane tunnels, road and bridge construction, and complex M&E installations. Upon completion, the T2D alliance will offer the people of Adelaide an incredible chance to be part of an iconic project, ensuring career stability and opportunities for career progression and development.

About the Role

Come and coordinate on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives.

  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports.
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
  • Contribute to improvements to existing designs.
  • Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
  • Assign work and assist with reviews for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
  • Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project.
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessment to ensure acceptable quality of construction works.
  • Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
  • Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
  • Utilise effective time management skills, including sequencing of work and resource time management.
What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, building construction, or equivalent.

A Diploma of Project Management in Engineering Science, Building, Construction, or equivalent.

Chartered Engineering Status.

Experience:

Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer in the utilities sector, specifically across all major utility services, including relocation and protection.

Strong technical knowledge and understanding of utility infrastructure systems, regulations, and industry best practices.

Sub-contractor management, including scope of works creation and tendering.

Ability to collaborate with the site foreman and site staff for project needs and to deliver project updates in daily pre-start meetings.

Coordination between site and project office with current information, issues, and risks. Demonstrated site experience would be highly regarded.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Familiarization of AS-5488.1 will be highly regarded.
