Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Construction Project Manager to join our Water & Wastewater team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with experience in managing projects related to water and wastewater facilities. They will be responsible for overseeing project development, estimating, scheduling, contract and subcontract development, safety oversight, project financial performance, quality control and assurance, and contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet project objectives.
  • Oversee the development of bid packages, pre-qualify subcontractors, and negotiate best pricing and terms.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including daily construction reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and NORESCO's policies and procedures.
Project Management Skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or similar project management software.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
Safety and Compliance
  • Develop and implement effective safety plans to minimize risk and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and document subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Education and Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management preferred.
  • 10+ years of direct construction project management experience in the municipal, water, or wastewater industry.
  • Experience with commissioning water and wastewater process systems, mechanical, chemical, SCADA, and control systems.
  • Strong knowledge of water and wastewater processes, including process components, functions, and deficiencies.
Location

This position is based in the Detroit, MI area and requires full-time onsite presence at client sites.
