Job Overview

The role of a Planner is vital in ensuring the effective delivery of project targets. Working closely with suppliers, this position involves allocating and scheduling jobs, while also monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.

This individual will play a key part in helping MJ Quinn achieve its goal of expanding broadband access to thousands of homes each year.

Responsibilities:
  • Accepting jobs and allocating them to the necessary suppliers, as well as scheduling these works to be completed.
  • Liaising with clients regarding queries surrounding jobs.
  • Ensuring that delivery forecast trackers and documents are kept up to date daily.
  • Collaborating with other departments within MJQ to discuss additional requirements such as Traffic Management, Commercial and Streetworks team.
  • Assisting with the closing down of jobs once works have been completed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Computer literacy – experience of working with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Strong administration and organisation skills.
  • Capacity to work well under pressure, ensure deadlines are met and manage business expectations.
  • Strong orientation towards quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in approach to work.
