About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our Enterprise Network team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Develop Cloud Infrastructure Solutions: You will work on complex challenges in existing and new development initiatives, designing and developing software systems that are secure, maintainable, scalable, and extendable.
  2. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will work closely with our Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams to ensure fast, smooth roll-out of new designs and products, as well as, assist with deployment and sustaining of networking software tools.
  3. Automate Infrastructure Deployment: You will develop internal solutions that allow us to scaling via automation — and automate away operational inefficiencies.
  4. Hands-on Development Experience: You must have experience hands on development of automation software in at least one modern language, such as Python, Java, AWS CDK and Cloud formation or others.
  5. Experience with Distributed Systems: Experience with distributed systems at scale is highly desirable.
About the Team

Our team is responsible for Edge Network which connects 500+ remote offices to the Enterprise core network as well as into AWS cloud. We own the network standards, deployment mechanisms, automation and delivery of large programs, including AWS VPC transit gateway based networks that connect our traditional networks to Native AWS.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale
