Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician role requires a skilled and detail-oriented individual to ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities.

Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related activities using hand tools.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for notifying management of any major repairs or additions required to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.

Guest requests for service must be responded to according to company policy, with records kept of completed rooms.

Phone equipment programming and daily observation of equipment and utility meter readings are also essential duties.

  • Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding areas in excellent condition.
  • Perform minor and routine maintenance activities, including painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related tasks.
  • Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy.
  • Keep accurate records of completed rooms and maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
  • Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer at all times.
Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of 1 year of hands-on maintenance or repair experience in a hotel, commercial building, or similar environment is required.

Experience with routine upkeep of hotel facilities, monitoring daily equipment operations, and programming and maintaining hotel systems is highly valued.

Technical training or coursework in general maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields is a plus.
