The role of a Tree Management Officer is to oversee the proactive management and enhancement of urban and open space tree assets.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that tree assessments and management services are executed efficiently and effectively.
Proactive inspection, ongoing data input, conducting audits and maintaining the tree register via the Council's Asset Management System are crucial components of this role.
Your expertise in arboriculture will guide your decision-making to maximise the environmental, social and economic benefits provided by public trees.
This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to maintain high standards of customer service and fulfill other duties as directed by your Coordinator or Manager.
About This Opportunity- AQF Level 5 Diploma in Horticulture (Arboriculture) or nearing completion.
- Class C Drivers Licence and NSW WHS White Card.
- Proven experience in tree assessment and management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to use technology and systems for record-keeping and reporting.
