Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Multicultural Caseworker. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building relationships and providing support to families from diverse backgrounds.

Our ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies. You will also be able to build trust and rapport with families, understanding their unique needs and circumstances.

  • Primary Casework: Working directly with families from their target community to provide support and guidance.
  • Secondary Casework: Providing additional support to families who require it, such as those who are experiencing complex issues.
  • Cultural Consultations: Offering expert advice and guidance to other caseworkers who are working with families from diverse backgrounds.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant degree in social work, psychology or a related field.
  • Experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies.
  • Confidence, curiosity and resilience when working with challenging situations.
