Job Title: Accounting Professional

Opportunity for an early career individual to gain broad exposure to accounting.

Job Description
  • Support the accounting team with various tasks, including reviewing supplier expense invoices and routing them through the accounts payable approval process.
  • Coding transactions in accordance with our chart of accounts and expenditure policies.
  • Administrating corporate credit cards using a financial management portal.
  • Reviewing fuel cards in accordance with company policy and process.
  • Collating information for annual FBT reporting for Australia and New Zealand.
  • Preparing GST/BAS returns for selected entities.
  • Assisting in monthly and annual management accounts for selected entities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assisting auditors with the annual audit, providing documentary evidence as requested.
  • Performing general ledger account analysis and reconciliation for the organization.
  • Recording journal entries and supporting accounts payable and receivable functions while staff are on leave.
  • Reconciling bank accounts via a financial management system for selected entities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with 1-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in using accounting software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Solid decision-making skills, including the ability to analyze the impact of decisions before execution.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate will be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
