Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced teacher to join our team as a Leading Teacher - Curriculum and Pedagogy Specialist. This is a key leadership role that will focus on improving the skill, knowledge, and performance of the teaching workforce in our school or group of schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and school priorities.
  • Develop and implement high-impact teaching strategies that respond to student learning needs.
  • Monitor and assess student learning at a class, cohort, or whole-school level and use this data to inform teaching practice and improve student outcomes.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers to support their professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment policies and practices.
  • Lead the development of curriculum in a major learning area and participate in curriculum development in other areas.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school leaders to improve teaching and learning practices.
  • Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school.
Requirements
  • Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Qualifications to teach and/or experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support teachers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to inform teaching practice and improve student outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum and assessment policies and practices.
