City Centre Development Officer

The City Centre is the vibrant heart of Mandurah, a hub for tourism, entertainment, business, and investment.

A lively City Centre fosters economic growth by providing essential services and facilities, creating jobs, attracting investments, and generating income.

This rewarding role involves:
  • Supporting the activation and promotion of Mandurah's City Centre through developing and implementing various programs, projects, and activations.
  • Collaborating with local businesses and the community to increase visitation, investment, and economic development.
  • Leading initiatives to support the implementation of Mandurah's City Centre Master Plan and other strategic documents.

You will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
  • A current unrestricted driver's license.
  • Experience in planning and delivering projects, programs, and events.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Understanding of economic development and community engagement principles.
  • Knowledge of the local economy and issues facing small businesses.
  • Experience with administration and operational aspects of projects and events.
  • Skills in sponsorship and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening and conflict resolution.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Analytical, research, and evaluation skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement programs, projects, and activations to promote the City Centre and support its economic development.

Collaborate with local businesses and the community to identify opportunities and develop solutions to drive economic growth.

Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the effective delivery of projects and events.
