Strategic Procurement Leader

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive the strategic procurement function, supporting business growth through effective partnership agreements.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining sourcing strategy, conducting spend analysis, and developing strategic partnerships with carriers. This includes identifying and vetting vendors, negotiating commercial agreements, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution.

This role requires a high level of expertise in contract management, negotiation, and relationship-building. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving business value through innovative solutions and strong stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing Strategy Development: Analyze transportation market capabilities against business requirements to identify opportunities for cost savings, capacity expansion, and diversification.
  • Carrier Partnership Management: Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with carrier partners across categories, focusing on innovation, sustainability, speed, and customer experience.
  • Negotiation and Contracting: Advise on competitive commercial, channel, and partner deal opportunities, negotiate delivery services agreements, and execute contracts that maximize business value.
  • Vendor Management: Work closely with global partners and local stakeholders to understand existing vendor negotiation tools and contracts, assess gaps, and build comprehensive negotiation strategies.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex negotiations and partner-facing leadership.
  • Ability to explain standard agreement terms to counterparties and negotiate fallback positions.
  • Strong customer orientation, commercial acumen, and ability to drive cross-functional engagement.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple negotiations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in delivering and influencing business processes using data analysis, modeling, and forecasting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
  • Attention to detail, analytical orientation, and ability to make data-based decisions.
