Bakery Team Member Job Description

At Costco Wholesale, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bakery Team Member to join our team. As a Bakery Team Member, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide prompt and courteous service to members, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of bakery items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and nutritional information.
  • Product Handling: Move product-filled oven racks, un-tray product from baking pans, and package baked goods according to merchandise manual.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with monthly inventory and maintain accurate records.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) guidelines for cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Front End Duties: Assist with front-end duties as necessary, including handling customer transactions and resolving issues.
  • Department Support: Assist in other departments of the warehouse as needed, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for members.

Requirements: Heavy lifting required in this role. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
