Underground Mine Operators for Copper and Zinc Production

About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to join our team as a Mining Operator at the Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. As a key member of our underground mining team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and safety of the mine by preparing, applying, and monitoring backfill material in the voids left after ore extraction.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate backfill operations with underground mining teams to meet schedule requirements.
- Oversee backfill construction, including fill reticulation installation, shotcrete barricade construction, shotcreting activities, and the setup of exclusion zones.
- Operate and maintain equipment to prepare and apply backfill materials to voids.
- Maintain inspection, monitoring, and testing routines during filling to ensure product specifications are met.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on backfill operations, including material usage and equipment performance.
- Comply with all safety standards, processes, and procedures while demonstrating exemplary behaviour.
To succeed in this role, you will need exposure to underground mining environments, preferably in a backfill, paste, or service crew position. Key skills and qualifications include:
- A high level of physical fitness.
- Comfortable working autonomously for long periods.
- Basic proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence (manual).
We offer a competitive salary of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Other benefits include:
