Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Design and Fabrication Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, producing, and assembling high-speed digital and RF PCBs, as well as mechanical assemblies for equipment.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, with experience in managing design, production, and assembly of electronic and mechanical components.

About the Role

This position requires collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team to help define and solve R&D problems. The successful candidate will also need to have experience managing procurement of electronic components and services by external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide direction to technical staff assembling electronic and mechanical equipment;
  2. Maintain configuration management and archiving facilities in accordance with Defence Science and Technology (DST) records management policies.

What You Will Achieve

You will work collaboratively to enhance science and technology capability through targeted collaboration with other DST teams, academia, industry, and other research organisations.
