SOC Manager

Leading a SOC team requires strategic vision and technical expertise.


About the Role

We seek an experienced SOC leader to manage security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response within our Defence team.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee daily operations and incident workflows.
  2. Monitor and analyze security alerts and risks across core and regional nodes.
  3. Develop and enforce SOC procedures and protocols.
  4. Act as the primary escalation point for critical incidents.
  5. Collaborate with Detection Engineers to optimize SIEM alerting.
  6. Support team development through training and performance management.
  7. Communicate threat posture and risk mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
  8. Improve SOC processes and integrate new technologies or threat intelligence feeds.
Requirements
  • Security Clearance: NV2 required
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
  • Extensive SOC leadership experience, including incident management and team supervision
  • Proficiency with security tools (SIEM, EDR, NDR)
  • Experience with Defence and national security environments
  • Strong strategic planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage complex security environments under pressure
