Job Description

We are looking for a skilled IT professional to support our critical projects and administration in the Enterprise Cloud Services Delivery environment.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement to increase operation, availability, and efficiency. Infrastructure landscape re-architecture and new technology adoption are essential parts of this role.

This position requires working with Center of Excellence teams comprising Database Administrators on critical topics like Incident Management, Problem Management, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore, and other operational tasks.

  • Strong conceptual understanding and knowledge of RDBMS products
  • Over 13+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in a Global Operations team (primarily on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms)
  • Exposure to automation tools/scripting or processes
  • DB installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation
  • Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning Systems. Performance Optimization
  • DB Concept on Security, Backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, System Copies, high availability and disaster recovery strategy, export-import, replication
  • Organize/Structure day-to-day documentation as needed
  • Willingness to take on-call duty/Weekend tasks during working hours

Cloud knowledge is desirable but not essential. Good to have Professional Certification of Database Platforms with exposure to Project Management tasks including PMP and ITIL certification.
