Detention Community Outreach Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to positive experiences and outcomes for children and families as a Home Detention Officer with the Department of Human Services.
The successful candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise clients on Youth Justice Mandates and conduct drug testing as directed by a Court order.
- Operate the Department Electronic Monitoring System to monitor client movements and ensure compliance with Mandates and Bail Conditions.
- Conduct property assessments to determine suitability of premises for electronic monitoring.
- Liaise with Case Managers in relation to absences, planning, and scheduling of arrangements and urine screening.
- National Police Check required.
- Employment-related Screening Check required.
- Australian issued driver's licence (minimum class C) required.
- Some out-of-hours work may be required.
