Senior Financial Analyst

MARS Recruitment is partnering with a leading financial services firm to find a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst. This critical role involves delivering timely and insightful financial analyses to senior leadership, informing their decision-making processes. As a key member of the team, you will provide essential financial support to the business by identifying key industry trends, creating models to forecast long-term growth, analyzing variances, and reporting on business performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports to the Board, highlighting key financial insights and trends.
  • Manage the budget and forecasting procedures to ensure timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Conduct a comprehensive quarterly review process, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Perform monthly analysis and reporting, with a focus on gaining a deep understanding of the business's fundamental drivers.
  • Develop and maintain scenario models of long-term forecasts, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Perform ad-hoc scenario analyses on transactions and projects, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align business strategy with financial goals, driving data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Drive financial performance and operational excellence initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Requirements:
  • 6+ years' experience in financial analysis, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • CA/CPA/ACCA/CFA qualified, with a deep understanding of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Hyperion/Essbase/BI.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
