Job Description

The Student Learning Support Officer plays a pivotal role in fostering academic success and personal growth within the school environment. This position focuses on providing tailored support to students with diverse learning needs, including disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Individual Plans (IPs) under teacher guidance, adjusting learning activities as needed.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
  • Cultivate inclusive education strategies to ensure every student's unique needs are met.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Demonstrated experience in supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to implement IPs and adjust learning activities under teacher guidance.
  • Experience in providing individualized support in literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education strategies and advanced training in diabetes management.
  • Certificate III in Education Support or similar qualification.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
