Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Solicitor to join our internal legal team in Cairns or Brisbane. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and assisting with contracts of sale, property transactions, and other legal matters.
Key Responsibilities- Drafting and reviewing contracts of sale for businesses and land
- Attending to large property transactions, including due diligence and option agreements
- Preparing and reviewing leases, licence agreements, and franchising agreements
- Reviewing and advising on fuel supply agreements
- Satisfying disclosure obligations with respect to franchising and retail leases
- Assisting with procedural processes for rental determinations
- Liaising with our existing external legal panel
- Monitoring critical dates, including settlements and renewal dates
- A minimum of two years experience in property transactions, preferably with experience in franchising
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Able to prioritize and manage conflicting deadlines
- Good drafting skills
- Detail-oriented
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
