Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team in Darwin on a full-time or part-time basis. If you're passionate about delivering excellent customer care and making a difference in people's lives, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you'll be responsible for undertaking psychological initial, worksite, functional, and early intervention assessments, conducting Vocational and Adjustment to Injury Counselling, identifying Return to Work (RTW) barriers, and designing, implementing, and monitoring programs that assist injured employees to return to the workforce.

You'll also undertake Vocational Assessments and Transferable Skills Analyses, liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, and employers to achieve outcomes appropriate for all parties, and work collaboratively with our team to provide comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake psychological initial, worksite, functional, and early intervention assessments to identify individual needs and develop effective rehabilitation plans.
  • Conduct Vocational and Adjustment to Injury Counselling to help clients overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Identify Return to Work (RTW) barriers and design, implement, and monitor programs that facilitate successful transitions back to work.
  • Undertake Vocational Assessments and Transferable Skills Analyses to identify client strengths and areas for development.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, medical practitioners, and employers to ensure seamless communication and coordinated support.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A relevant Tertiary Qualification in Psychology and current registration, or eligibility to obtain, with AHPRA (provisional accepted).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution.
  • Determination to consistently provide high-quality customer service, with a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
  • A keen sense of punctuality and effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands.
