As a valued member of the education community, this role plays a critical part in ensuring students have access to essential educational services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the documentation of wellbeing processes and policies for the school, creating a safe and supportive environment for students.
  2. Respond to wellbeing needs in accordance with the wellbeing processes and policies of the school, prioritizing student well-being and safety.
  3. Identify, assess, guide and provide individual counselling for students at educational or personal risk, including case management where appropriate, to ensure students receive the support they need.
  4. Coordinate and conduct small group programs to support wellbeing education and development of students, promoting positive relationships and behaviors.
  5. Liaise and disseminate information for students engaged with wellbeing to relevant teachers and college staff, fostering collaboration and communication.

Selection Criteria

  1. Experience and qualification in social work or other relevant field which includes individual counselling of students in a secondary school environment, showcasing expertise and knowledge in supporting students' emotional and academic needs.
  2. The capacity to support health promotion program in a school environment, promoting healthy lifestyles and habits among students.
  3. Demonstrate a commitment to fostering and helping to develop the college's culture through practicing the values of Belong, Believe, Become, aligning with the school's mission and vision.
