We are seeking an experienced and dedicated psychiatrist to join our team as the Director of Medical Services at Nundah Private Hospital.
About the RoleThis senior leadership position is crucial in ensuring strong clinical governance and supporting the hospital's strategic and operational goals.
- Support the Hospital Executive in ensuring strong clinical governance and the safe, efficient operation of the facility.
- Communicate hospital policies and decisions to Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and monitor their compliance.
- Collaborate with the Medical Advisory Chairperson to address concerns raised by VMOs, aligned with the hospital's strategic intent.
- Work with admitting psychiatrists to ensure timely access to services for overnight care patients.
- Provide clinical advice to hospital management regarding specialty areas, programs, and services.
- Develop new services and programs in partnership with the hospital management and clinical team.
- Represent the hospital as a clinical leader in both internal and external environments.
- Support the hospital in achieving performance targets through coordination and communication with VMOs.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- MBBS or equivalent qualification registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification.
- Extensive experience in a senior psychiatric role, preferably within a private mental health hospital setting.
